Holistic Approach to Health

TCM treats the body as an interconnected system, addressing the root cause of ailments rather than just the symptoms. This holistic perspective promotes balance and harmony within the body, leading to overall wellness.

Effective Pain Management

Traditional Chinese Medicine provides holistic approaches to alleviate stress and promote emotional balance, helping individuals achieve a greater sense of calm and relaxation. Physiologically it can assist in reducing or eliminating pain, improving range of motion and restoring function.

Digestive Health

TCM therapies, such as herbal formulas and dietary adjustments, can effectively manage digestive disorders like IBS, acid reflux, and bloating, by strengthening the digestive system, optimising metabolic function and restoring balance.

Enhanced Mental Health

Through practices like acupuncture and qigong, TCM helps reduce stress, anxiety, and depression by promoting the smooth flow of Qi (energy) and calming the mind, contributing to better emotional well-being.

Boosted Immune System

TCM strengthens the body's natural defenses by using herbal remedies and lifestyle recommendations to enhance the immune system's response, making the body more resilient to infections and illnesses.

Support Chronic Conditions

TCM offers complementary support for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and autoimmune diseases. By balancing the body’s systems, it helps manage symptoms and improves quality of life.

Client Stories

Words can’t express the gratitude I have for Andrew. He’s supported me through several journeys from weight loss to fertility, whilst ironing out general day-to-day kinks in my neck from too much time in front of a laptop!
No matter what service Andrew has provided over the years, whether it be PT, acupuncture, massage or facial gua sha; I’ve left the clinic feeling better for investing the time and always looked forward to the next appointment.

Services

Acupuncture

A clinically validated therapy based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles, acupuncture involves the precise insertion of fine needles into specific meridian points to regulate Qi (vital energy) and restore physiological balance. Research shows it modulates the nervous system, enhances microcirculation, reduces inflammation, and promotes endogenous pain relief by stimulating endorphins and neurotransmitters.

Herbal Medicine

A pharmacologically active system of botanical therapy, Chinese herbal medicine works synergistically to regulate Zang-Fu organ function, modulate immune responses, and correct Qi, Blood, Yin, and Yang imbalances. Formulations are customized to target the root cause of disorders, supporting gastrointestinal health, neuroendocrine function, inflammatory modulation, and systemic homeostasis.

Massage Therapy

Rooted in Tui Na (推拿) principles, this therapeutic manual therapy manipulates soft tissues and meridians to improve Qi and Blood circulation, release myofascial restrictions, and regulate the autonomic nervous system. Scientific studies demonstrate its efficacy in reducing cortisol levels, enhancing proprioception, and accelerating musculoskeletal recovery.

Cupping Therapy

A biomechanical and TCM-integrated approach to rehabilitative movement, this service focuses on postural alignment, joint mobility, strength, conditioning and neuromuscular coordination. Inspired by Daoyin (导引), Qi Gong martial arts and resistance training principles, it enhances proprioception, corrects kinetic chain dysfunctions, and promotes optimal movement efficiency for injury prevention and functional longevity.

Movement Coaching

A negative pressure therapy that enhances capillary microcirculation, lymphatic drainage, and myofascial decompression, cupping is used in TCM to expel pathogenic factors such as Wind, Cold, and Dampness. Evidence suggests it improves oxygenation to tissues, facilitates metabolic waste clearance, and modulates neurovascular responses to alleviate pain and inflammation.
